Payments with Apple and Google Account

Posted by FreedomNet

You may have heard of Apple’s electronic wallet service called Apple Pay. For those who do not know what it is, it’s basically an application that links to your credit card that can be used to pay for items and services seamlessly using your smartphone at participating retailers. Google has a similar service known as Google Wallet which has recently undergone some changes. Google Wallet still exists, but instead of using it to pay for service and products it acts as an electronic checking account that can be used to store, send and receive money (just like other similar services such as Venmo.)

In addition to the changes to Google Wallet that were announced recently, Google has spun off its payment system into a separate app called Android Pay that is freely available to all Android users as of right now. This system is designed like Apple Pay to make it easy to digitize your payment methods for purchases online, in brick-and-mortar stores, and in-app purchases. There are currently 63 individual retailers that have support for Android Pay in a list that can be found here. While this may bring you additional convenience while on the go, for all your residential and business internet needs, FreedomNet Solutions is here to help.
