Satellite Internet or Fixed Wireless Internet?

Satellite Internet or Fixed Wireless Internet? For those in rural America, it can be difficult to find reliable internet that is capable of supporting high speeds, with reasonable limits on data usage. For many, it may seem that the easiest and most obvious solution is to go with satellite or cell phone based internet services, but the service that is provided can be limited on bandwidth and data usage. Many satellite services advertise packages with 25, 50, or 100GB worth of data that may seem like a lot, especially when you compare it to a typical cell phone bill, but in reality are insufficient for most households that have multiple devices connected to a home’s network. This can result in customers hitting their data caps in a very short amount of time that may result in throttling of service, or additional charges to increase your data cap on a per monthly basis. So while accessibility to satellite and cell phone service remains high, the service itself can be severely lacking in its capabilities and limited in its usage.
Enter fixed wireless internet, which uses towers at fixed locations to provide service to customers via mounted receivers that connect wirelessly to nearby towers. The wireless receiver equipment being used is capable of download speeds up to 25Mbps and bandwidth on the tower is allocated for each individual customer depending on their monthly internet plan. FreedomNet Solutions offers monthly internet plans with significantly higher data allowances for users, starting at 300GB for a Basic plan of 3Mbps, going all the way up to 2TB of data for a Light Speed plan capable of 25Mbps download speeds. If you don’t want to worry about data limits, we have plans available for that too. In order for an address to connect to our wireless internet, a user will need to not only be within the range of a nearby tower but also have a line of sight to that tower. In order to determine whether service is available at an address, we perform a free of charge site evaluation. During the site evaluation, we will perform several tests in order to find out if service is available at the address.
