“Do It Yourself” Tech Support may be the best option if you’re experiencing problems with your internet service but you’re not exactly sure why. Does your internet seem slow? Does it cut in and out at times? It could very well be something that is wrong with the equipment you are using, or maybe your internet provider is having network issues. While FreedomNet is proud of the wireless “No Limits Internet” service that we offer in the state of Michigan, even we are not immune to small hiccups in the service. When haveing connection issues, it is almost always recommended that you contact our tech support department and speak with a technical support agent who can assist you in restoring your service. But before you do that, you may want to take the time to try a few things that may resolve the issue through a few simple steps that you can do yourself.

First, check the power on the router and make sure it is in fact online. Identify the “Ethernet” cable that supplies the internet to the router and follows it all the way to your FreedomNet Radio equipment outside of the building, Once located, confirm that it has power. Then simply unplug the power supply to the radio and wait 10 seconds before restoring power. Then do the same thing to the router and make sure it comes back online. While it may seem like an overly simplified process, these two things can often times give more clarity as to what’s going on.
